The diversified Hersbruck International Guitar Festival has established itself in the scene as one of the most important festivals of its kind. Many greats of the music and guitar world like Pepe Romero, Los Romeros, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Al Di Meola, Giora Feidman, Tommy Emmanuel, David Russell, Eliot Fisk, Leo Brouwer, Alvaro Pierri, Manuel Barrueco, Duo Assad, Klaus Doldinger or Gerardo Nunez have impressed the audience in the classical, tango, flamenco, blues, soul, gypsy swing, fingerstyle, world-jazz in recent years.
But also for young musicians,who were just at the beginning of a great career like Diknu Schneeberger or the Brazilian Yamanda Costa, the festival was an important place to present your art to a larger audience.
World-renowned artists such as Carlos Barbosa-Lima and Bill Kanengiser have made their German debut in Hersbruck.
In addition to the concerts, exhibitions, lectures, sessions, masterclasses, workshops and individual lessons take place throughout the week in the festival centre.
In addition, the festival offers a further education programme for music teachers and interested amateurs under the title “Hersbruck Music Academy (HMA)”. Internationally renowned lecturers will present lectures, workshops and seminars on the latest scientific and pedagogical findings in the fields of musicology, music psychology, music medicine or music practice.
