International Guitar Festival Wertingen (since 2012)

Concerts, master classes, lectures and school projects (funded by the Bavarian State Government – Kulturfonds Bayern) with internationally renowned guitarists from classical to jazz among others Andy York, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Don Ross, Máximo Diego Pujol, Badi Assad, Jon Gomm.
International guitar festival with stars of the scene and aspiring newcomers. Accompanying the concerts, a wide-ranging workshop program is offered for all levels of performance.
Promotion of young musicians through concerts by young musicians in cooperation with international music competitions.
The city of Wertingen and the Association for the Promotion of the International Guitar Festival in Wertingen also award scholarships for young young guitarists.
Within the framework of the festival, the educational project “Wertingen entdeckt ganz neue Saiten” for students of the local schools will take place, which is supported, among other things, by the Bavarian Cultural Fund of the Ministry of Science.
